COVID-19 Hockey
Pueblo Plaza Ice Arena temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
December 15, 2020
This year’s Pueblo County Hockey Team is going to look a whole lot different from past years due to COVID-19. As of right now, hockey is postponed until the beginning of January. There will be fourteen people on the ice during games, including twelve players and two refs. The Pueblo Ice Arena is temporarily closed due to a possible outbreak there. COVID does affect how many spectators can be in the rink. The ice arena only allows 100 spectators, at other rinks they only allow one spectator per person. Masks must be worn at all times while the players are warming up, the only time a player can take off their mask is during the game when they are on the ice. Social distancing is still in use; all spectators have to sit 6 feet apart from each other.
