Halloween Party III: Tuffy Saves Halloween !

Marisa Maldonado

Halloween is the one night where children look forward to dressing up and venturing the neighborhood collecting candy. While their parents look forward to “sharing” all of that candy. Although, mother nature made it very difficult to enjoy Halloween this year with its chilly weather, so Tuffy flew in to save the night! East High School held its 3rd annual Tuffy’s Trick-or-Treat here at East High School and the outcome was extraordinary. Many members of the East side community joined Tuffy to stay warm and celebrate Halloween with the Eagles. Children were excited to have the opportunity to get candy even though it was freezing outside. According to Marcus Tafoya, who attended the event, “I’m glad East High School decided to do this event because if they didn’t I probably wouldn’t have gotten any candy from my neighborhood because it was just far too cold, and what’s Halloween without candy?” Abigail Martinez, also had nothing but positive feedback. She was in charge of one of the booths and said, “There were a lot of people there and we ran out of candy right away!” From the looks of it , Tuffy’s Trick-or-Treat has become a new Halloween tradition. It is the perfect place to stay warm, but also have a blast on Halloween!
