Pueblo East Basketball Dominates Ponderosa Invite

After coming back from a successful weekend at the D’Evelyn Tournament, the Eagles started the Ponderosa invite on Thursday against Arrupe Jesuit. The Eagles cruised their way to a victory of 71-38. Kyle Miller was able to help the Eagles by dropping 23 points. The following day on Friday, the Eagles traveled back to Ponderosa High school to play Regis Groff. The final score was 75-30 as the Eagles dominated again. Jaxon Herring was able to lead the team in points, dropping 20. The next day, the Eagles hoped to carry their momentum when they played the host team, the Mustangs. The Eagles won a close one in the 4th, taking the dub 84-80. Darnell Kindred had a dominant performance dropping 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. The Eagles walked away with the championship and hope to do the same this weekend when they host their tournament.
